North Korea wins record-breaking third U20 Women’s World Cup

“It’s very difficult to express ourselves right now. This is something many of us have dreamed of for a long time,” North Korean Captain Chae Un-yong said.

“The final match was tough as we expected, we had to stay calm and play according to our coach’s tactical instructions.”

They took the tournament by storm, taking countries like North Korea, Argentina, the Netherlands and Brazil to the semi-finals.

After the 1-0 win against the USA, Japan, who finished second in the previous tournament to be held in 2022, has a chance to advance to the finals in the whole of Asia.
