Pakistan Army Wins 2024 Inter-Departmental Basketball Championship in Risalpur

The Inter-Divisional Basketball Championship 2024 concluded on September 21 in Risalpur with Pakistan Army emerging as the champions. The five-day event held from September 17 to 21 saw participation from various divisional teams across the country.

The tournament, which was held on a pool basis, saw intense competition among the top ranked teams. After the preliminary rounds, Pakistan Army, WAPDA, POF and PAF, who held the title, made it to the semi-finals.

In the semi-final matches, Pakistan Army defeated WAPDA, while PAF defeated POF, setting the stage for an exciting final match. In the championship match on 21 September, Pakistan Army defeated PAF by a decisive score of 82-50 to retain their title.

The event was attended by senior officials, military personnel and dignitaries from various sectors. The participants expressed their gratitude for the continued support of Pakistan Army in promoting sports activities.
