Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings Week 4: Who should start, top sleepers and streamers at K

Fantasy Football Kicker Rankings Week 4: Who should start, top sleepers and streamers at K

In the first two weeks of the NFL season, four different kickers have scored 20+ fantasy points. Week 3 was a bit different. For the first time this season, kickers had a relatively quiet day, and no one had a matchup-changing performance.

That doesn’t mean Sunday was free of nonsense in the kicking world. Brandon Aubrey kicked a 65-yard field goal, the second-longest in NFL history. Aubrey has absolutely ridiculous legs and is arguably the most talented kicker in the league right now.

Who knows what Week 4 will bring?! At this rate, we could get a 25-point performance and a 70-yard field goal.

Who are the best fantasy kickers of the week?

All you can ask of your dream kicker is that they be accurate and regularly given the opportunity to line up for field goals. With those two eliminations in mind, it makes sense that the upper echelons of our rankings are filled with kickers who are committed to elite offenses.

You’ll see guys like Harrison Butker (Chiefs), Brandon Aubrey (Cowboys), and Ka’imi Fairbairn (Houston) all have the privilege of hitting for some of the league’s best offenses. Unless one of those teams regresses significantly on offense, these three will be regular members of our top 5.

Evan McPherson and Jake Bates are the other two members of our top 5. The logic here is the same; McPherson kicks for the Bengals, who should have no problem moving the ball against the Panthers, and Bates will take advantage of the Lions’ abundant scoring opportunities.

Who are the best fantasy kickers of the week?

When trying to identify sleeper candidates at the kicker position, the goal is to identify high-scoring plays that feature kickers that most leagues don’t have. Tampa Bay kicker Chase McLaughlin is one option in Week 4. The Buccaneers and Eagles offenses underperformed in Week 3, but both are certainly capable of being a track and field contender.

Matt Prater is another overlooked kicker in fantasy football. The veteran is now a member of an emerging Arizona offense that is averaging just under 28 points per game. Prater has been a top-12 kicker for three weeks now and should continue that trend if Kyler Murray and company continue this way.
